Are Clear Braces Right for You?
Are you or your child’s teeth crooked or out of alignment? At Bowden Dental, we use Invisalign braces as an effective, discreet way to fix dental issues, including overcrowded teeth, overbites, crossbites, gaps, bite irregularities, and orthodontic relapses from traditional braces.
Clear braces are a cutting-edge way to repair your smile without the “cutting” of metal wires and braces. Also known as “invisible braces,” clear braces ensure minimal visibility and minimal impact on your day-to-day life. Advances in dental technology have made these braces easier and more comfortable than ever, and at Bowden Dental, we have the expertise to make your experience as smooth as possible.
What Are Invisalign Braces?
While traditional braces have typically been made of titanium alloys, clear braces are made of flexible, clear plastic. Clear braces have a number of advantages:
- They’re easy to remove when you’re eating or brushing your teeth.
- The clear materials make them much harder to see, allowing you to transform your smile with little to no change to your physical appearance.
- They’re also known to be more comfortable than normal braces, avoiding the aches and pains commonly associated with the traditional adjustment process.
How Do I Get Clear Braces?
As your one-stop-shop for treatment, Bowden Dental helps with each and every stage of the clear braces process. First, we’ll conduct an examination to determine if you’re a candidate for the Invisalign process. Next, Bowden Dental will use our expertise and 3D imaging technology to create aligners customized to your teeth and bite, ensuring a perfect fit.
You’ll wear each aligner for two weeks, removing them for sports, eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. At the end of the two weeks, we’ll replace your clear braces with a new custom set that will push your teeth a little further towards proper alignment. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move, little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to the final position.
Total treatment time averages 9 to 15 months, and you’ll use between 18 and 30 different aligners, but both will vary from case to case. Bowden Dental will guide you throughout the entire process, monitoring your progress in 6-week check-ups and providing any assistance you may need. We’re here to make sure that your clear braces are comfortable and aligning your teeth on schedule.
